“Theology” Readopted as the Standard Red Sox Philosophy

Theo Epstein, who turned down the Sox’s contract extension offer in late October, ended up returning to the team with the exact same position. While I’m happy that he returned, I can’t help but ask “what kind of a joke is this?” Despite the outcome this whole mess is like a really bad daytime soap opera and could’ve been avoided. It seems that the team also realized all these leaks and dramas are getting out of hand, so besides Theo’s return they also announced the team is going to take the Patriots’ approach: keep their mouths shut whenever possible. Whether this is going to work remains to be seen, especially with the team’s close ties with the Globe.

On the other hand, I’m sure CHB is royally pissed. He couldn’t brag about “Oh by the way, I’m the one who drove Theo Epstein out of town” anymore.
