Never Trust Your Second Thought

I was going to start Zambrano yesterday against the Rockies. I backed out and benched him at the last minute because I suddenly had this feeling that since Zambrano has had a few good outings he was bound to have a bad one. You know, what goes around comes around. Great. So what happened? He pitched a 2-hit shutout. 2 hits with no walks over 9 innings and got a win. On the other hand, I left Wakefield to pitch against the Royals. Sure, the Sox won it in the bottom of the 9th, but Wakefield himself allowed 9 hits and 4 ER and got a no decision. JUST THE HELL WAS I THINKING?? If I didn’t have that second thought, or rather, I didn’t follow on that second thought, I would’ve been able to pick up that shutout. It would’ve help my team’s ERA and WHIP quite a bit. These second thoughts are destroying my team. I’m amazed by my stupidity. It’s not the first time it has happened and I never learn. UGHHHHHH.

On the other hand, where’s my offense? I need some offense. I’m stuck at rock bottom on avg and being mediocre on all other offensive categories. What’s up with my team?
