The Sox

The Sox had a bad day today. They lost the twinbill to the Rangers. Pedro was smacked around and lasted only 4 innings. Come on Pedro, if you are going to whine about your contract situation to the media and to get the public opinion on your side, you’ll have to pitch better than that. Having such a bad outing after making those comments is not going to help your cause.

On the other hand, I don’t understand why people criticize him about the timing of his comments. There’s no such thing as “bad timing.” People are upset because Pedro is creating distractions when the team is winning 6 straight. Alright, sure. If he whined when the team is losing, people are going to say if he had the time to whine why not help the team to get back on track. Either way people are going to say shut up and pitch.

Whether the team is going to retain him or not, I just hope he will pitch better than this and be a little bit more consistent. Although I admit I’m going puke if I ever saw him putting on the pinstripes.
